Supporting Niagara Catholic Students in Need

The Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education would appreciate it if consideration could be given to a charitable educational donation that is income tax receiptable, and will pay big dividends as a long-term investment in the future of a student attending Catholic schools in Niagara. Over the past several years through the Foundation’s Annual Golf Classic, more than 600 students have received bursaries to assist in their goal of achieving a rewarding post-secondary school education. In order that even more students may receive necessary assistance, the Foundation is encouraging individuals or businesses who may have the means, to consider a $500 student bursary charitable donation to a secondary school graduate seeking higher education. The donor will receive a receipt for income tax purposes, have the choice of directing the bursary donation to any one of the eight Niagara Catholic Secondary Schools, and if so desired, can also name the bursary as a memorial to a relative or friend.

The Foundation also invites those wishing to contribute a lesser amount to consider a donation of $200 to purchase a uniform for a needy elementary school student preparing to enter high school. Again, the donor has the opportunity to choose the elementary school where the uniform donation is to be directed. This uniform donation also qualifies for an income tax receipt.
We fully realize that there are many worthy National and International Catholic charities seeking assistance, but there are many in need right in our own back yard. Some may even be your friends and neighbors.
